Artificial intelligence(AI) enables machines to carry out activities that need human intelligence. It is one of the fast-growing fields with substantial effects on literary arts. This study explores the ways in which artificial intelligence has been used to aid the transformation of the genre-specific plot structures in literature. Writers can experiment with new shapes of stories, furnish their clay with the autonomous responses of AI, and thereby provide a substantial increase in creative output. For example, improving models of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning methods allow artificial intelligence to imitate human writers’ styles and engage in the analysis of overwhelming amounts of text to produce stories that provoke emotional reactions and cultural subtleties. The study also focuses on the area where artificial intelligence can be valuably used in analysing literature to help find patterns, themes, and stylistic properties that intertwine within genre-specific plot structures, that is, Tragedy, Romance, Detective novels and Thrillers using select novels, ‘The Great Gatsby’, ‘Pride and Prejudice’, ‘Possession’ and ‘Nutshell’. Artificial Intelligence is incredibly successful in broadening and deepening literary studies. AI presents the possibility for a myriad of new critical perspectives on many things in literature. At the same time, AI challenges the juxtaposition of classical human creativity against intelligent machinery by ethically questioning authorship, agency, originality, inspiration, dependency, and many marginal roles in creating literature in many environments. The combination of human creativity and artificial Intelligence has the ability to redraw the borders of literature, by presenting wide range of options for both those who create literature and those who consume it. By exploring these aspects, this research article contributes to a deeper understanding of the potential transformative effects of AI on genre- specific plot structures in English literature.
